The Estate Sale Industry is Changing.
Fueled by the baby boomer generation, our industry has grown exponentially for the past decade. That growth has come with new challenges: a significant increase in the number of inexperienced companies, a rise in consumer expectations, and the threat of legislation.

Only a few short years ago, those who conducted estate sales were mostly part timers, antiques dealers or other interested parties. No one really thought of these individuals as forming the core of an industry. Estate liquidation was an event, not a profession. Times have changed. Consumers now expect a level of performance and transparency not often seen in the old days of estate liquidation.
Consumer expectations are increasing, this brings with it a corresponding need for professional level estate sales services. Baby Boomers are retiring at an ever increasing rate. Economic boom and bust cycles have caused many to move. Aged members of our society and their families are reaching out to estate sales companies in record numbers. Each of these market segments deserve competent and ethical estate sales services. The question is, without national standards how will they know when they have found that type of service?
