NESA is formed from the collective experience of multiple estate sales companies from across America who unanimously agreed to form a Trade Association for the betterment of the entire industry.
NESA: A growing group of estate sales professionals from around the country joined together to promote viable ethics and standards, consumer protections and industry wide education.
Governance: Our ten member board has a combined 150+ years of experience conducting estate sales in cities all across America. Our board has, or currently employs, every type of estate sales strategy: auction sales, online sales, on-site sales, or warehouse/showroom sales. Their experience is your experience. Non-Profit: Our 501c(6) status is in process, all the proper paperwork has been filed. Each board member has volunteered their time and provided the seed funding necessary to the establishment of NESA.
Our Code of Ethics was written by a Group of Estate Sales Professionals, with membership values, concerns, and convictions born of experience in mind. It takes a group of people who daily are confronted with full garages and basement, grieving widows, families torn apart by the need to move or who are dealing with the loss of a family member to form an association relevant to both consumers and estate sales service providers.
NESA is structured to advocate on behalf of the estate sales industry of which you are a part. Together we are here to make a difference. Want to get involved? Want to take action? Want to contribute time to issues like education, and consumer protections? Want to help define and propose industry generated legislation instead of waiting for a time that a reactive politician attempts this? NESA carefully screens all applications and reviews each applicant’s business licence, resale licence, trade references, client references, and proofs of insurance, etc.
